I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
